Struggling with a generator armature that just won't budge? I’ve been there. Before you grab the big sledgehammer and risk ruining the shaft, try this old-school scrapper trick. In this video, I show you how I use MAPP gas and WD-40 to pop a stubborn armature off a tapered shaft in seconds. No expensive pullers or specialized tools are required—just physics and a little heat. Why this works: Heat Expansion: The MAPP gas expands the hub faster than the shaft. Capillary Action: The WD-40 wicks into the gap while it’s hot to break the bond. WARNING: We are working with fire and flammable liquids.
